I have spent my career believing that education is about far more than helping students earn a diploma. It is about preparing them to discover purpose, develop character, and build lives of meaning.
For more than three decades, I have served as a Career and Technical Education educator, leader, and national presenter, working alongside teachers, administrators, and industry professionals who share a common goal: preparing students for success beyond the classroom. Throughout that journey, I have seen firsthand that the most meaningful learning occurs when students understand not only what they are learning, but why it matters.
That belief has shaped my work as an educator, author, and doctoral candidate. It inspired the development of the KWLA Career Readiness Framework™, extending the traditional KWL model by challenging students to answer one additional question: How will I apply what I have learned? It also led to the creation of the FORGE Mentorship Framework™, emphasizing the transformative influence of intentional mentorship in education and leadership.
The ANVIL Framework™ is a professional language acquisition framework that equips Career & Technical Education students to think, speak, and perform like industry professionals. Through five progressive stages—Acquire, Name, Visualize, Integrate, and Lead—students move beyond memorizing vocabulary to confidently using technical language in authentic workplace settings, strengthening communication, technical competence, and career readiness.
My passion is helping educators create learning experiences that connect knowledge with purpose, strengthen career readiness, and inspire students to become confident, capable, and compassionate leaders.
